Always..

Good morning all.
I hope you are all well.I am off for my follow up appointment at the doctors today, i expect an ear bashing over my cholesterol results.
Its been an emotional weekend,i made the decision on Friday to hand my notice in at work after almost 5 and a half years. It was a really hard decision to make but i had been offered the chance to work with my mum.Oh dear getting teary again.
I will be working longer hours but only working 3 days and 1 evening a week, meaning i get 3 full days at home to concentrate more on being a mum and wife something which i have felt so guilty about as most days when i got home hubby was heading out to work.
So in 2 weeks i will be starting my new job, so you may have to bear with me whilst i adjust to the longer working days etc.
So enough of my waffle and on to my card which was for my Mum and Stepdads Anniversary yesterday.
Not the best pics but i had to grab a quick photo before we headed out to hand it over.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
1.Diva`s by Design Challenge - Weddings/Anniversaries
2.Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Challenge 61 - Pure whiteness
3.Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Emboss it (heat embossing and dry embossing)
4.613 Avenue Create Challenge - Challenge 37 - Anything goes
5.Challenges 4 Everbody - Challenge 29 - Anything goes

Products used are:
White linen card
White ribbon
White flower
Distress tool
Just rite sentiment
Indigo Blu stamp - Love is
Silver embossing powder
Spun sugar and tumbled glass distress inks

I have used the ink over the image just to give it a little colour.

And a sideways view.
Thanks so much for popping by and putting up with my ramblings, it means a lot :D
Hugs Nic.xx

Hi Nic....

Can I firstly offer you big hugs as you're feeling sad.... but know that new doors will be opening for you... and that, as you say, it will give you more opportunity to concentrate on the things you want to do. However, it's always difficult to leave somewhere you've been happy. But how fabulous to be working with your Mum!!

Now..... I've just looked back at your cards I need to catch up on... I'm not going to try to comment on them all (hope you'll forgive me)..... suffice to say there is not one there that I don't think is absolutely wonderful... I really don't know how you find the time to come up with such fabulous creations!! Today's is so elegant and gorgeous... but I have to say my favourite is the Crafts and Me Lovely Lace creation..... STUNNING!

Big hugs
Christine xxx

Beautiful card Nic. Very elegant. I also have high cholesterol but cannot take statins so instead I take Red Yeast Rice which a friend recommended. I have to buy it but it works and my doctor told me to stay on it. It's worth a try. I get it on Amazon.

Hi Nic, what a beautiful card - love that bow at the front.

I know exactly how you feel, when I had my Emily I went back to work part-time when she was just 1 yr old and I found it very difficult. I didn't feel that I was spending enough time with her, or enough time at work to know exactly what was happening there, or enough time at home keeping on top of the housework.

In the end I stressed myself out and hubby said to stop, leave work and concentrate on looking after him and Emily.

I'd been in that job for over 5 years and it was a wrench, but best at the time.

Now I'm wondering about re-turning to work, I'm getting a bit brain dead not using the old noodle much!

Best of luck with the new job, I'm sure once you're over the initial change it will be fine.
